ZINEDINE ZIDANE claims he is "not bothered" by talk Jose Mourinho might replace him at Real Madrid.

Bernabeu boss Zidane insists he is in a "strong position" despite fans' fury at Wednesday's 3-0 loss at PSG, heightening speculation ex-Real chief Mourinho, Xabi Alonso, Raul or Max Allegri could step in.

Zidane said: "I will keep trying until the last minute and as long as the club will give me the chance to continue. I don't feel questioned at all."

"I'm not bothered by the Mourinho speculation.

"This is how the situation is, and whenever the team has a bad result the impression is that everything needs to change. It's difficult but it's the reality."

Yet Real's display in their midweek Champions League opener was so lame it put Zidane's future under an even fiercer spotlight, having only returned in March following three successive European crowns in his previous reign.
