Zach Parise is a captain once again. On Friday, USA Hockey announced that Parise would captain the American team set to participate in the Winter Olympics in two weeks time. The American team will also have two alternates: Los Angeles captain Dustin Brown and Parise’s Minnesota teammate, Ryan Suter. “Number one, to be named to the team is awesome,” Parise told Wild.com. “But it’s a special thing to be named captain.” For Parise, the ‘C’ is a sweater letter upgrade from the 2010 games in Vancouver, where he served as an alternate to American captain Jamie Langenbrunner.
