On the last day of the season, Michael Young had only one hit and fell to third in the AL batting race, fractions of a decimal point behind No. 2 finisher Adrian Gonzalez. Young, however, got a nice consolation prize. He scored the run that gave the Rangers home-field advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
