Tyrone Mings has shared his own thoughts on the Premier League’s proposed restart.

The Aston Villa defender is waiting to hear news following Monday’s meeting, which is expected to outline plans to protect the health of players when the season is resumed.

Plenty of speculation has led to confusion amongst supporters and Mings admits the players are also in the dark.

“Let’s see what else they come out with,” he said when asked whether he fears for his own safety. “If you believe everything in the press then I’m currently preparing myself to play with a mask, with gloves, for less than 45 minutes each way, whilst quarantining.... in Australia.”

Several players have spoken out over plans to continue the season whilst the coronavirus death toll is still rising rapidly across the UK.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero claims players are concerned for their safety, as well as that of their families.
