The Yankees have made the first big splash ahead of Friday's Trade Deadline, agreeing to a deal with the Rangers for slugger Joey Gallo, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. Gallo was scratched from the lineup for Texas' game against the D-backs.

Neither club has confirmed the move.

Gallo, 27, is in the midst of his second All-Star season, hitting .223 but with a .379 OBP and .490 slugging percentage as well as a Major League-leading 74 walks.
