Andy Pettitte has had enough of simulated games. "I'm ready," the lefty said after throwing 55 pitches in a four-inning simulated game Wednesday during which he fielded bunts and covered first. "Can I give you 100 pitches? No," said the 40-year-old. "I feel like my stuff is crisp and if they want me to do this, I need to get back in there." Time is certainly getting short for Pettitte, out since June with a fractured left fibula near his ankle. And it may be running out for the Yankees, as well, since they have been unable to create any separation between themselves, the Orioles and Rays.
