Giancarlo Stanton made his return to game action Tuesday and homered in his first rehab action with Single-A Tampa as he returns from a left calf strain.

Stanton’s previous rehab assignment was cut short last month by the calf strain after he had recovered from the left biceps strain and strained left shoulder.

In his second season with the Yankees, Stanton has played just three games, but the team is optimistic he could return soon — perhaps as early as Monday in The Bronx against the Rays.

“That would be the hope, but it’s one day at a time right now,’’ Boone said.

Aaron Judge (oblique) may not be far behind, with the right fielder slated to begin a rehab stint, perhaps with Tampa or even Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre with Stanton this weekend.
