Charles Woodson’s marathon visit with the 49ers on Wednesday didn’t end with the eight-time Pro Bowler crossing the finish line with a contract. In a radio interview today, however, Woodson’s agent, Carl Poston, said the former Packers safety has the 49ers at the top of his list. Of course, he added the usual caveat: The money has to be right for his client to sign with San Francisco. At this point, Poston said, he hasn’t delved into contract talks with the 49ers. “He’s made it very clear that he wanted to go to a contender where he could make a difference and he wanted to win another Super Bowl ring,” Poston said on 95.7 The Game this afternoon. “So we’ve kind of narrowed down the teams that he wanted to talk to and San Francisco is clearly one of those teams. “So, if the numbers are right, I’m assuming that Charles would want to pull the trigger with the 49ers. … The ball’s really in their court in one regard, but we haven’t really talked yet. We haven’t talked numbers at all.” Poston said he’s now waiting to hear back from the 49ers. In the interim, he noted, San Francisco is hosting former Lions safety Louis Delmas for a visit today. Former Ravens safety Ed Reed, who is visiting the Texans today, is reportedly also on their radar. The 49ers could also spend some of their free-agent cash on cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, who is also visiting the team today.
