Wolves are ready to offer free agent Jan Vertonghen an offer to remain in the Premier League, according to reports in Italy.

Belgian international Vertonghen recently brought to an end an eight-year stay at Tottenham Hotspur, after his contract with the London club expired.

A player with a wealth of top flight and international experience, Vertonghen isn’t someone who is expected to be without a club for very long; indeed he has a number of clubs interested in him from around Europe.

Both Serie A side Roma and La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid are said to be weighing up offers to Vertonghen ahead of the 2020-21 season, but there are claims coming out of Italy now that Wolves are a viable option for Vertonghen.
