Wolves are to keep tabs on Kalvin Phillips this season despite having an offer knocked back by Leeds United during the summer, Football Insider has learned.

United announced earlier today that Phillips has signed a new five-year contract after they rebuffed “multiple offers in excess of £20million” for him in the window that shut last month.

A Wolves source has told Football Insider that the club were among those in the Premier League who had a strong interest in landing the midfielder, 23, following his outstanding 2018-19 campaign.

The Midlands big hitters are planning to regularly scout Phillips this season ahead of a possible fresh approach next year.
