A decades-old giveaway tradition by a Wisconsin-based burger chain is poised to make a repeat performance if the Milwaukee Brewers can extend their current win streak in Game 1 of the NLCS on Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Brewers have not dropped a game since a regular-season series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Since then, the Brew Crew have rattled off 11 straight wins, including in-season series sweeps of the St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Tigers. A Game 163 victory over the Chicago Cubs to win the NL Central and a three-game NLDS sweep over the Colorado Rockies followed.

And now, with a potential 12th win a row on the horizon, George Webb restaurants is preparing to give away an obscene amount of free burgers should the Brewers top the Dodgers in Game 1.

“We’re definitely making plans if they win Friday,” George Webb vice president Ryan Stamm told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, via ESPN. “The wheels are in motion.”

The longtime free burger promotion goes all the way back to the 1950s and ’60s, a time when the Braves, not the Brewers, called Milwaukee home. The guarantee was based upon the promise, “George Webb Predicts the Brewers Will Win 12 in a Row,” a tagline that ended up on the chain’s napkins.
