The Miami Heat gutted through more than just a deflating game-tying heave at the buzzer Tuesday night to beat the Toronto Raptors in overtime and take a 1-0 lead in their Eastern Conference semifinal series. Both shooting guard Dwyane Wade and center Hassan Whiteside finished Game 1 despite suffering knee injuries. Whiteside took an awkward spill in the second quarter and temporarily retreated to the locker room, while Wade hit the ground hard on a chaotic inbounds play near the end of regulation. "I hit the bone, and I'm sure it's bruised," Wade said after the game.
