The Chandler Parsons derby has a surprising winner. The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a four-year, $94 million contract with Parsons, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon. Memphis moved quickly to secure Parsons after it became clear that he would not return to Dallas. Parsons' free agency was made possible when he opted out of a $16 million player option that Mark Cuban tried to encourage him to pick up. The Mavericks didn't want to give Parsons the max that they knew other teams would offer him. In Dallas, Parsons' good play was marred with two injuries, one much more severe than the other.
