Manchester United have been ordered by UEFA to play the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona , despite being drawn to play away from home first.

United were drawn to play the Catalan giants in the Nou Camp before playing the return leg on home soil.

But Manchester City have also been drawn at home in their last-eight clash against Tottenham .

Regulations prohibit United and City from both playing at home on either the same night or on consecutive nights, thus one of them must move.

Due to City finishing higher in the Premier League than their local rivals last season, it is United who will play their second leg away from home.
