The Jets are again having problems with tardiness. Again. For the third straight year, Todd Bowles was forced to bench a defensive starter. In Sunday's 38-31 victory over the Chiefs, it was actually two. Linebacker Darron Lee was a healthy scratch, while defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson sat the first quarter. Lee showed up late to Saturday's practice, while Wilkerson was late to a team meeting, a person with knowledge of the benching told NJ Advance Media. The two players were aware they would be punished before the game. "You're disappointed, and you move on," coach Todd Bowles said after the game. "We handle it, we take care of it, we don't let it linger, and we move to the next week." Bowles said after the game both would return to the starting lineup next week against the Broncos.
