Prized pitching prospect Dylan Cease will make his debut with the White Sox on Wednesday.

The right-hander will start the first game of a doubleheader against the Tigers at Guaranteed Rate Field.

He is the No. 3 prospect in the White Sox organization and No. 18 in all of baseball, according to MLB.com.

“Everybody feels this is the right time," Sox manager Rick Renteria said Sunday.

Cease is 5-2 with a 4.48 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 15 starts for Triple-A Charlotte.
