A miniscule crowd was on hand at U.S. Cellular Field Monday night as the White Sox beat Toronto 3-2 in a makeup of a postponed game from June 12th. The Sox are in the middle of a road trip to Detroit and Cleveland having avoided a sweep against the Tigers on Sunday after blowing a six-run ninth inning lead on Saturday in a 12-inning loss. “Saturday was hard enough but it's nice to see kids bounce back after that” Ventura said. “For (Erik) Johnson to pitch that game after seeing what happened (Saturday) to be able to come back and pitch the way he did it's good to see.” Has Ventura come back yet? “Hopefully I've come back from that” he said. Sox left-hander Jose Quintana made his team-leading 32nd start tonight against the Blue Jays seeking his ninth win.
