The Orioles reportedly will not trade Manny Machado to the AL East rival Yankees, but that doesn’t mean the stud third baseman won’t end up with New York before 2018 is over. According to a report from The Athletic, the White Sox are currently the top suitor for Machado, who is set for free agency following the 2018 season, but would certainly be open to trading him to New York for prospects during the season. To land Machado in the first place, the White Sox may have to part ways with top pitching prospects Lucas Giolito and Michael Kopech. However, they reportedly are only willing to trade one.
