West Orange athlete Jalen Julius, who transferred to the Winter Garden school from Orlando Evans earlier this spring, has committed to the Florida Gators 2015 recruiting class. Julius, a 4.31-second 40-yard dash speedster who can do a lot of different things on the football field, is being recruited as a cornerback at UF, but he will likely see other opportunities as the Gators look to spread the offense around under new offensive coordinator Kurt Roper. "It feels good. I just got off the phone with head coach Muschamp," Julius added. "I'm very excited to be a Florida Gator right now. Julius committed to head coach Will Muschamp over the phone Wednesday afternoon and he said the Gator coach told him, "I'm a heck of an athlete who's got fluid hips, I'm explosive and he said, 'The Gators just got better.' " "I had a good vibe there [at UF]. The players get along really well and they treated me well and coaches treated me well, too, ... my mom and my whole family had a nice vibe with Florida." Julius, who played running back and corner last season at Evans, has an impressive highlight reel (Click here for highlights). He had 64 carries for 397 yards and three touchdowns in spot running back duty and 10 catches for 90 yards as a slot receiver. He also had two kick return touchdowns.
