West Ham are set to open talks with Tomas Soucek over a new and improved contract, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The Czech colossus has been instrumental in the London club’s remarkable campaign that has put them in contention for a top-four finish.

A West Ham source has told Football Insider that the club want to tie Soucek, 26, down to fend off interest from rival Premier League and European clubs.

The midfielder has a deal with the Irons that runs until the summer of 2024.

He is set to be offered a significant pay rise as well as an extension to his current agreement.
