Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard will have his jersey retired by his alma mater Weber State University. Weber State announced it will retire the No. 1 during the men's basketball alumni classic on Saturday, August 26. Lillard, who played at WSU from 2008-2012, joins Willie Sojourner (1968-71) and Bruce Collins (1976-80) as the only men's basketball players to have their jerseys retired. "It's an honor to have my jersey retired and to join so many great Weber State players that came before me," Lillard said in a release. "Although my jersey is being retired for the work I put in during my time as a Wildcat, I couldn't have been successful without the support of my coaches, teammates and staff."
