Wayne Rooney says Carlos Tevez was his preferred strike partner at Manchester United ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo. The 32-year-old has played alongside several talented forwards at Old Trafford including Ronaldo, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Louis Saha, Dimitar Berbatov, Robin van Persie, Michael Owen and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Tevez won the Premier League on two occasions, as well as the Champions League, during his two seasons at United and Rooney believes he flourished the most when he was playing alongside the Argentine. ‘Tevez would be my preferred partner,’ Rooney told Sky Sports.
