Just moments before this season’s NBA trade deadline, news came down the wire stating that the Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks had made a deal. The Wizards will send swingman Sheldon Mac to the Hawks for a protected second round pick, according to a report from Chris Miller of NBC Sports Washington. Mac, now 25 years of age, has made 30 appearances with the Wizards this season, averaging 3.0 points on 40.0 percent shooting from the field and 1.1 assists. Mac, a 6-6 native of Houston, Texas, has also spent time with the Delaware 87ers (Philadelphia 76ers G-League affiliate) and Rio Grande Valley Vipers (Houston Rockets).
