Wake Forest sophomore center Sam Japhet-Mathias has been dismissed from the program. Wake Forest announced that he “has been permanently dismissed from the men’s basketball team for not meeting program expectations.” Japhet-Mathias, who’s from London, England, played in six games this season, only one of those since the ACC portion of the schedule started. With 7-footers Doral Moore and Olivier both limited by foul trouble, Japhet-Mathias played 15 minutes against Duke on Jan. 13, scoring four points in 15 minutes. Japhet-Mathias played in 17 games as a freshman, scoring a career-best six points against Xavier.
