The Reds plan to have Joey Votto play two rehab games at Single-A Dayton on Tuesday and Wednesday. If all goes well, Votto will rejoin the Reds and be activated next weekend when the club plays in Houston. Votto (left knee) last played July 15, and he had arthroscopic surgery July 17 for a torn medial meniscus. Votto re-injured the knee practicing slide Aug. 8, and had another procedure Aug. 10 to remove some loose cartilage. "We're hoping he'll be ready sometime next weekend, if everything goes well," Reds manager Dusty Baker said.
