Vontaze Burfict famously concussed Steelers receiver Antonio Brown with an illegal hit at the end of a playoff game in January 2016. The play drew a flag that helped the Steelers get in position to kick a winning field goal, as well as a suspension that kept Burfict off the field at the beginning of the following season. And Burfict thinks it was all a ruse. In comments to ESPN published Monday ahead of the Steelers’ game at Cincinnati, the Bengals linebacker said Brown “faked that” and offered the following explanation for the claim.
