Former Titans quarterback Vince Young is expected to join more than 80 of the franchise’s former players at the team’s game against the Ravens on Sunday at Nissan Stadium. Earlier this year, Young’s brief return to pro football with the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders ended in June, when he tore a hamstring. Young made national headlines later that month by making volatile comments to Sports Illustrated, in which he blasted former Titans coach Jeff Fisher, calling him “jealous” and “envious,” and questioned why journeyman quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick still had a job in the league and he didn’t. “I’d see a quarterback and be like, ‘Dude is garbage, and I’m over here in the kitchen cooking turkey necks,’” Young told Sports Illustrated. “I hate to name-drop, but Fitzpatrick is still playing!? He leads the league in interceptions, and he’s still (expletive) getting paid? I mean what the (expletive) is going on?” The Titans’ former players will gather in Nashville on Friday night for the start of the team’s third annual “homecoming weekend,” which will also include attending a walkthrough and reception Saturday and being recognized at halftime Sunday.
