The Vikings brought back another one of their unrestricted free agents, re-signing linebacker Marvin Mitchell to a one-year deal Tuesday, March 26, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Mitchell was a special-teams mainstay for Minnesota last season and started at middle linebacker Sept. 23 against San Francisco. He could compete for more playing time in the middle, with incumbent Jasper Brinkley leaving via free agency, though Mitchell's biggest role figures to be on special teams. The 28-year-old is the seventh of the Vikings' 10 unrestricted free agents the team has re-signed.
