Two weeks ago, and two weeks after signing with the Vikings, Josh Freeman made his first start for the team. It couldn't have gone worse. He completed 20 of 53 passes for 190 yards with an interception and looked wholly overmatched. Freeman was originally set to start the following week against the Packers but was later diagnosed with a concussion. So he sat while Christian Ponder got the nod. Ponder didn't play well, but he'll again be under center when the Vikings host the Cowboys Sunday and Freeman is a healthy scratch. Matt Cassel will serve as Ponder's backup.
