The NFL has had to pivot quickly regarding Sunday’s previously scheduled game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans after Titans players and staffers tested positive for COVID-19, but it initially remained unclear what effect there would be on the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota faced Tennessee this past weekend and, like the Titans, closed its team facility on Tuesday.
But Vikings avoided any positive tests themselves and appear to be on pace to play as scheduled against the Houston Texans on Sunday. Still, the question remained as to how big of a disadvantage Minnesota could be at depending on how long it takes for the facility to reopen.
Vikings general manager Rick Spielman provided an update on that, via Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
