The Indiana Pacers’ Victor Oladipo, who is a fantastic singer, released his second single on Wednesday. This one is called Rope A Dope and features 2 Chainz. The song is meant to be a response to the inflammatory comments President Donald Trump has made/been making about athletes who kneel during the national anthem, according to the press release that also included the following quote from Oladipo: “I wanted to address what was going on and bring awareness to it, but in a positive manner. I want people to feel inspired and motivated to be great, and to stand up and have confidence. We need to come together as a country to deal with these problems. We aren’t going to solve anything unless we’re united.” Here’s some of what Oladipo sings: You ain’t never been where I been, you can’t tell me what I saw. All I know is I’m the coldest. I been through so much I feel like I’m ready for war and I will fight until the end because I know what I’m fighting for. So wave your flags, you don’t want no smoke because everything you got still won’t come close. I came into this world with my back against the ropes, so watch this footwork, it’s the rope a dope.
