Victor Cruz began Sunday afternoon chasing his third straight 1,000-yard season. He ended the 23-0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks by coming two yards short. And now, the rest of his season is in doubt. Cruz made just two catches for 25 yards early in the game, reaching 998 yards. Then, with 2:06 to play in the third quarter, he appeared to catch a 16-yard pass from Eli Manning, leaping high to haul the throw after beating Seattle’s Jeremy Lane, a reception that would have given him the milestone. But Cruz hit the turf hard, landing on his shoulder and his head, and he lay motionless for a few moments. He was immediately removed from the game, and the Giants said he was evaluated for a concussion and a knee sprain. He did not return. Asked if Cruz was in danger of missing the rest of the season, coach Tom Coughlin said he was unsure.
