Dropping 51 points, including a winning 3-point shot in double overtime, was an incredibly impressive effort by Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant. Amazingly, it's something you just start nodding your head without much disbelief when you hear that Durant has done something like this. He's just so good and in such an incredible zone as an assassin scorer this season that stat lines which would give most players career nights have become scarily routine for Durant. It even has his opponents comparing him to a higher power. After the Toronto Raptors loss to the Thunder behind Durant's performance, point guard Greivis Vasquez had some pretty biblical praise for Durant. From NewsOK.com: "If you got Kevin Durant on your team, you're safe," said Vazquez, a former high school teammate of Durant's at Montrose Christian School in Maryland. "He's like Jesus in this league." Considering only Elgin Baylor, Michael Jordan, and Wilt Chamberlain (twice) have had season averages of 32 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, Kevin Durant's averages of 32.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 5.6 assists this season have him looking to join that club. And he's the only player in NBA history to do it with the shooting averages of over 50.0 percent from the field and 40.0 percent from three.
