Robin van Persie will look to end his playing career with his first club Excelsior and then go on to become "the best coach in the world," his father has told The Blizzard. But Bob van Persie said he expects his son, who has spent the last two seasons as a Manchester United player, to extend his stay at Old Trafford first. The Netherlands captain has two years remaining on the deal he signed when he swapped Arsenal for United in 2012 and, fitness permitting, his father expects him to carry on in Manchester. Van Persie came through the youth system at Excelsior, joining them at the age of five and leaving at 15 for Feyenoord. And while his spell in Rotterdam was less happy, his father believes Netherlands' record goalscorer will always have an affinity with his other three clubs.
