After taking fielding practice before Wednesday night's game, Hunter Pence walked through the dugout with a little more bounce in his usual energetic self. "An exciting night," Pence said smiling. Indeed, Chase Utley was back. He wasted no time being the old Chase Utley either. He smacked a solo homer in his first at-bat. Then, the same old Utley sprinted around the base paths as if a fan could throw the ball back and the Pirates could tag him out at home. And, with just this one swing, Utley made me throw out what I already had written for this column.
