No Deron Williams. No team captain. The aftereffects of the Jazz's decision in February to trade the face of the franchise are still being felt, nearly 10 months after the fact. While Williams at times could be confrontational, he was also the best player on Utah's roster and the loudest voice in the locker room. Williams led by action and example, and he earned his captain's role. Without D-Will, the rebuilding Jazz don't have a true No. 1 and they lack a unifying voice on the court and behind closed doors.
