The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office has declined to file felony charges against USC wide receiver Joseph Lewis IV following his arrest earlier this month on suspicion of domestic violence, according to Greg Risling, a spokesman for the office. Lewis’ case, which was received last week, was referred to the Los Angeles city attorney’s office, which will decide whether to file misdemeanor charges against him. A highly touted recruit from nearby Hawkins High School, Lewis appeared in 11 games as a freshman last season for the Trojans, mostly on special teams, before he was suspended from the team following his arrest Feb. 12 on a felony domestic violence charge.
