One of the best offensive minds in football is headed to Southern California.

Multiple sources have confirmed to USCFootball.com that former Texas Texas head coach Kliff Kingsbury, one of the hottest free-agent coaches in football this offseason, has agreed in principle to become the new offensive coordinator at USC, marking a massive hire by embattled head coach Clay Helton.

It didn’t take long for Kingsbury, 39, to find a new home after the former Texas Tech QB was fired from his alma mater on Nov. 25. It also didn’t take long for USC and Kingsbury to get tied together with several conflicting reports popping up about him being seen on campus the last couple of days. On Thursday there were reports Kingsbury and Helton were spotted on campus together.
