Pierre Cormier’s football career is over because of a medical condition, the running back posted tonight on his public Facebook page. Cormier wrote “Football has always meant the world to me.. Due to a medical condition I’ve been told I can never play again.. This last week and a half has been the hardest ever for me…” Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez is out of town this weekend and isn’t expected to confirm Cormier’s status until Monday. The San Diego native redshirted in 2013 and was expected to compete for extended playing time this season. The 5-foot-10-inch, 183-pound back was rated as a four-star prospect by the Scout.com recruiting service and had 2,233 yards and 28 touchdowns as a senior at Madison High School in San Diego.
