Knicks center Tyson Chandler (bulging disc) is doubtful for tonight's game against the Washington Wizards while backup big man Kenyon Martin is listed as "questionable" because of his sore left knee. Marcus Camby (plantar fasciitis) is out again. The Knicks were 8-2 while Chandler missed 10 games because of his sore neck last month, and while he didn't play well initially following his return, he did move well in Sunday's upset of the Oklahoma City Thunder, scoring 15 points and adding five rebounds and two blocks. Of course, the Wizards aren't exactly a great team. The Knicks should be able to win without Chandler and if that's the case, it would be unwise for him to risk further injury against physical big men like Emeka Okafor and Nenê. Knicks coach Mike Woodson recently professed his optimism that his injured bigs could be healthy again by the time the playoffs role around, but that is seems less and less likely all the time. Rasheed Wallace still hasn't practiced since having foot surgery and Amar'e Stoudemire is coming off of his second knee surgery of the season. Even if the other three aforementioned post players are healthy, the Knicks will still be thin at power forward and center in the playoffs.
