How things can change in one year. Last July, we were talking about Ty Rattie being a breakout candidate on Connor McDavid’s wing. Fast forward a year and Rattie is headed to the KHL.

According to Igor Eronko, Rattie has inked a one-year deal with Lokomotiv, where he’ll play for former Oilers player/coach/general manager/general everything guy Craig MacTavish.

The former second-round pick signed with the Oilers after bouncing back and forth on waivers between St. Louis and Carolina during the 2016-17 season. Rattie played well in the AHL, earned a late-season call-up, and played very well alongside McDavid during the final stretch of the 2017-18 campaign.
