Alex Kirilloff, the No. 2 prospect in the organization, is on the Twins' roster when they begin their American League Wild Card Series against the Astros on Tuesday.

Kirilloff worked out at the club's alternate training site in St. Paul, Minn., alongside fellow top-three prospects Royce Lewis and Trevor Larnach throughout the season, but only Kirilloff, the No. 27 prospect in baseball per MLB Pipeline, was part of the 40-man player pool for the postseason. Kirilloff, an outfielder and first baseman, hasn't played a day above the Double-A level and didn't get a peek at the Majors during the regular season. Now, in a nearly unprecedented move, he's headed to The Show.
