Trevor Bauer will replace injured Scott Kazmir in the Indians' rotation and start Saturday against the Rays at Tropicana Field. The Indians placed Kazmir on the disabled list Thursday with a strained right rib cage. He'll miss two to three starts. The interesting thing about the rotation now is what happens after Saturday? Will Bauer stay in the rotation or will Carlos Carrasco replace him? Carrasco is currently serving his six-game suspension from 2011. The suspension ends Sunday, which will put him in line to replace Bauer. Manager Terry Francona would not comment on what will happen after Saturday. "We're better off leaving it where it's at," said Francona. "I don't want to say we're have some things that our out of our hands, but I don't think we're ready to make decision because they wouldn't make sense. "We play 13 games in a row without an off day. We're trying to see if our starters might need a day off. We just need to let it play out." The Indians are apparently so uptight about the situation that Francona kept saying Bauer is "expected' to make Saturday's start. When asked if there was anything that could stop Bauer from pitching Saturday, Francona said, "No, that's just what I was told to say. I just think it's the proper way of saying it."
