Montreal is without both Carey Price and Al Montoya, but its problems extend far beyond goaltending. The Habs have lost four of their last five — including a blowout loss at home to the Maple Leafs on Saturday — and have fallen 14 points off the pace set by division-leading Tampa Bay. It hasn’t been good, and the Canadiens are at the center of the trade/shake-up speculation, with Max Pacioretty’s name the latest to enter the rumor mill. Montreal is in midst of a stretch playing nine of 11 games at Bell Centre, but the results haven’t been there. They’re at serious risk of falling out of contention before the critical U.S. Thanksgiving bench mark, sitting four points out of playoff position in the East.
