Tottenham officials were present in both legs of Villarreal's Champions League semi-final defeat to Liverpool to keep a watchful eye over transfer targets Pau Torres and Arnaut Danjuma, 90min understands.

The Yellow Submarine fell 2-0 in the first leg at Anfield but managed to wipe Liverpool's advantage out in the return fixture thanks to first-half goals from Boulaye Dia and Francis Coquelin. However, the Reds came roaring back after the break and scored three times to end Villarreal's hopes of reaching a maiden Champions League final.
