West Bromwich Albion sporting director has told the Baggies’ official website that Nathan Ferguson will be leaving the Championship leaders this summer on a free – amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
Ferguson, 19, has broken into Slaven Bilic’s side this season – helping the Baggies sit in top spot with just eight Championship matches still to play. He has clocked up 21 appearances in all competitions, either side of a serious knee injury.
Football London claim Crystal Palace came close to signing Ferguson in January for £11million, only for said injury to scupper a move. The same report claims Tottenham and Arsenal are also interested in the player, with Palace remaining keen.
Now, Dowling has confirmed that the England Under-20 international Ferguson is now set to leave the Hawthorns on June 30. Dowling stated that the Championship side had offered Ferguson a new deal, but stated Ferguson wants to leave the club.
