Tottenham have accepted an offer in the region of £9m for Mousa Dembele from Chinese Super League side Beijing Sinobo Guoan, according to Sky sources.

Sky Sports News reported last week that Beijing had made an approach for Dembele after freeing up space for a new foreign player.

The Belgium international has been keen on a move to China since the summer but no opportunities presented themselves other than a potential option to move to Inter Milan, who have Chinese owners.

But, with his contract expiring at the end of the season, the 31-year-old has been free to discuss a move to a foreign club since the start of the month and he is set to get his wish on a move to the Far East.

Should the deal go through, it will call time on a sublime stint at the North London club in which he has made 249 appearances and been a principle component of Mauricio Pochettino's top-four team.
