It was reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski recently that pretty much all of the talks surrounding the NBA trade deadline have involved the Toronto Raptors.

Canada’s favorite NBA team is in the midst of a disastrous season in which it currently boasts a 25-30 record and is the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference.

It has led to widespread speculation that the likes of Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, Gary Trent Jr. and OG Anunoby could be on the block ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.

The backdrop here is something rather interesting that unfolded in Toronto two days before the aforementioned deadline.

Siakam was meeting with reporters on Tuesday with the deadline itself being brought up. His response wasn’t exactly friendly to the Raptors’ organization and what’s unfolding behind the scenes.
