Prior to Wednesday night’s game between the Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors, Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau was asked directly if he would be surprised to see a move happen, given what he has been told. “Yeah, I would,” Thibodeau said. [There] doesn’t seem like there’s a whole lot of movement. I feel real good about the guys that we do have.” During a week of trade rumours and discussions where anything can happen at the drop of a hat, Thibodeau said the key is to stay focused on what they team is trying to accomplish and not worry about the deadline. ”Stay locked in to what we have to get done with our team,” Thibodeau said. “[Focus on] the guys that we have.” Raptors head coach Dwane Casey has paid Thibodeau high praise in the past, often referencing the defensive intensity the Bulls play with when talking about the blueprint he is trying to build in Toronto. In a season where the injury hits have been plentiful, Casey again credited Thibodeau’s work with the team that is trailing his Raptors by 1 ½ games in the Eastern Conference.
