It took almost three months for the misdemeanor assault and disturbing the peace charges against Broncos safety T.J. Ward to work its way through the system, but it will only take him an afternoon to complete the sentence handed down on Monday. The Denver Post reports Ward must perform four hours of community service by Halloween in order for the charges to be dropped according to the terms of a deal agreed to by both sides in a Denver courtroom. A spokeswoman for the city’s prosecutors said that the deal was offered to Ward because he has no prior criminal record.
